Check, bank deposit, and credit are all accepted methods of payment. Please note: credit card transactions carry an additional processing fee.
When is payment due?
For counseling sessions paid by insurance, copays are due prior to time of service.
For private pay counseling sessions, payments are invoiced after each appointment; payment is due within two weeks.
For consulting, presentations or long-term projects, payment is due at the time of service.
Do you accept insurance for counseling services?
We are currently preferred providers for:
-
Cigna (Open Access Plus, PPO, HMO)
-
CareFirst BCBS
As every plan is different, it is your responsibility to contact your insurance company to determine whether or not nutrition services are covered. To get the maximum reimbursement from your insurance plan, please call your insurance company and ask them if your plan covers nutrition counseling (CPT codes 97802 & 97803). You also want to know what your copay is, what your deductible is before insurance kicks in, and whether or not there's a limit on the number of visits.
If you aren't covered under your insurance plans, we are happy to provide a superbill upon request.
